The Forums are all cleaned up now! I put in some filters on registration to try to keep the spam down so - you will need to re-register. But every thing is cleaned up and upgraded so we should be able to use the forums like they were meant to be used now.
I know that the page needs updated (Like getting all
the pages on the same template / color scheme etc.) I'm on again off
again with the time that I can spend on SWG, work on the web site as time allows.
Here is a link to a ruff draft Roster Data base-(I finally fixed the links)- at one time I was going to work on this Roster for each City... and perhaps, someday I'll get around to tweaking it for the way the game is set up now.. but in the mean time feel free to add yourself, the color scheme is horrible (I didn't pick it) and it's really ruff, but you can update your record, or brows it to see who used to walk the way of the EGC. Welcome to EGC. Part of the responsibility of a guild
is to help new members become what they envision. Many have no idea
what they want to be since Star Wars Galaxies (or SWG for short) has
so many choices.
Upon joining EGC your recruiter should give you a house and 10000 credits.
The recruiter will help you place your home, but you should read the Placing
a House text to make this easier on both of you.
After placing your home, check out the guides to assist you in your character
development. I recommend reading all the guides, as each contributes something
specific to the game.
EGC was formed to create a support base in which we all can enjoy the game
as a community. Many player's assume that they will be given additional money
or items. Some individuals may do so, but we ask that you do not ask over
guildchat. You will need to learn how to be self sufficient in gaining our
experience and wealth, but we are all happy to teach you the best methods
to do so. Wealth cannot make your character powerful. Only by gaining skills
in your profession will make your character powerful.
Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Teach a person to fish, they feed
themselves for life.
Please use ventrilo or at least /guildchat in game. This tool you can use to talk to any other EGC members as they are also online, despite their location.
To use guildchat simple type /gu message.
You may also create a chat tab so you may read and respond to guild conversations, or ask questions. To do so, hold the mouse cursor over the tabs just over the message box. Right click once and a menu list will appear. Click "Create New Tab". Highlight "Guildchat" on the left side of the menu, click the arrow pointing to the right menu. This will drag the Guildchat ability to the chat tab. You may add other chat options to this menu. I recommend adding instant message as well. This way you may have private conversations as well as guild conversations.
