How I did my grind to Jedi:
I had 3 free unlocks as of a result of the old Jedi Grinding system of using holocrons then completing professions.
I used my 3 free unlocks to get Ranged Defense, Melee Defense, and Ranged Speed (Because I was a Pistoleer at the time).
I then was fortunate to being halfway through my FS grind just like that (Each unlock represents 4 boxes or 1 branch.
You need to completely fill 6 branches to complete the FS grind. I having unlocked and filled 3 of the 6).
This way I saved myself from having to grind about 3.6 Million FS Experience. If you get 0 Free Unlocks and do the 2 Defense and 4 Combat Branches like I did then
you will end up need 7,350,000 FS Experience. This translates to about 110,250,000 Weapons Experience, with 11,025,000 Combat Experience. Or about 21,000,000 Combat Experience.
As you can see these numbers are absolutely ridiculous. Feel free to use my Excel File I made to calculate this for yourself HERE
Anyways, I would recommend making your character a Melee Elite Fighter then buy as many grenades as you can. Why you ask?
I'll let the Using C-12 Grenades to Grind FS Combat Experience Guide explain this to you
but basically Grenades give the best Conversion over any other type of experience.
Do this until you cap Combat (300,000 Experience) then go back to the Village and Convert with Paemos and Train with Nolden as needed.
Obviously you also will need to do quests in the village to get some branches unlocked so you can fill them.
The Allakhazam Jedi Guide explains all this well. Please read
all of this in detail and I bet it answers almost all of your questions.
Why am I getting Melee Again?
Because then you can take 5 MOB's fighting you from a Lair at once and NOT die. Also doesn't hurt to have good armor and a Buff.
